In front of the marquee at the old railroad station, many curious onlookers waited on saturday afternoon for the arrival of the kerwasbuam with the 27 meter long kerwas tree, which comes from the oesdorf forest. The musicians from zecken had picked up the tractor with the tree in tow, the young men on the left and right, at the cemetery.
With "humsdada and hearty songs, belted out by the boys, they moved to the festival square. 25 young men then set to work under the direction of experienced tree captain michael pawlitzki, and it took some time before the decorated spruce finally stood upright. A fresh breeze dried the sweat of the eager boys.
Already on friday afternoon the popular kuchla zammspielen had taken place and in the evening the coverrock-band "audiocrime" rocked from 8 p.M. On in the tent.
