
In front of the marquee at the old railroad station, many curious onlookers waited on saturday afternoon for the arrival of the kerwasbuam with the 27 meter long kerwas tree, which comes from the oesdorf forest. The musicians from zecken had picked up the tractor with the tree in tow, the young men on the left and right, at the cemetery.
With "humsdada and hearty songs, belted out by the boys, they moved to the festival square. 25 young men then set to work under the direction of experienced tree captain michael pawlitzki, and it took some time before the decorated spruce finally stood upright. A fresh breeze dried the sweat of the eager boys.
Already on friday afternoon the popular kuchla zammspielen had taken place and in the evening the coverrock-band "audiocrime" rocked from 8 p.M. On in the tent.
Barrel tapped in one fell swoop
On saturday morning the kerwatrubel started at ten o’clock with the "schlachtschussel". At 7 p.M. Mayor ludwig nagel (CSU) tapped the first kerwafassla without any problems and was musically supported by the musicians from zeckern. The experienced brass band also entertained the many guests in the evening with the best of bohemian brass music according to the motto "music for young and old".
Sunday was the last kerwatag for the people of zecken. People met at 10 o’clock for the kirchweihfest service in st. Wendelin, which then moved seamlessly into the morning pint in the tent.
The following lunch was accompanied by the "hofschoppenmusikanten". The older generation was from 14.30 o’clock to the senior afternoon in the tent to coffee and cake invited and again provided the zeckerner musicians skillfully for best kerwassimmung.
From 17 o’clock all guests were allowed to watch then with the betzn raustanzen. At 6 p.M., as always, the popular salzknochla attracted the lovers from near and far to the table and in addition there was pure party with the well-known and popular duo "frankenexpress".
And that was it already, the zeckerner kerwa. Short but already!
